Support - Licensed Version - WebSpellChecker Installation
Please follow the step by step instructions to install the WebSpellChecker application on your web server:
Run WSC_SCAYT.EXE. The installation Wizard will start. The installation process starts with the "Welcome" dialog.
Click Next to proceed.
The following dialog will tell you about the WebSpellChecker system requirements, If your computer does not conform to these requirements, you WebSpellChecker won’t run on your computer
Click Next to proceed.
The following dialog allows you to select the components that you want to install.
NOTE: Don't change the options for the next testing tasks (WebInterface testing, Functionality testing etc.)
Click Next to proceed.
The following dialog box will ask you to choose the destination location.
NOTE: The default destination location is "%ProgramFiles%\WebSpellChecker"
Click Next to proceed.
The following dialog box is "Application Server Settings". It allows you to define the TCP port that AppServer will use to process requests received from WebInterface. Select the "Install Application Server as Service" check box at your choice.
NOTE: The default port is 2880.
Click Next to proceed.
The following dialog box is labeled "Web Server Settings". It defines the web server which will be used to run WebInterface, proxy and samples. You can choose between IIS 4.0+ and Apache 1.3.x web servers.
Click Next to proceed.
The following dialog box is labeled "Apache Settings". It allows you to select the path to the httpd.conf Apache configuration file.
The following dialog box is labeled "Web Site Settings". This dialog box allows you to select the installation point or web site.
Click Next to proceed.
The following "Web Interface Settings" dialog will appear. It allows you to specify the name of the host and port of the SpellChecker Application Server.
Click Next to proceed.
The following "Sample Settings - Sproxy Script Settings" dialog will appear. It allows you to select a proxy script version (Binary, Perl or PHP). The default value depends on the server configuration. If there are no special requirements, use the default value given.
Click Next to proceed.
The following "Select Program Manager Group" dialog appears. This dialog allows you to choose the name of the program as a Start Menu Item.
Click Next to proceed.
The following dialog is labeled "Start Installation".
Click Next to start the installation process.
After the installation process is finished, the "Installation Complete" dialog appears.
NOTE: You can enable the "Run Application Server to request a license" option that allows you to check the license.
To close the installation program dialog, click Finish.
