It is named after the British scientist Thomas Young Bends who formulated the law in the 19th century. The principle states that when fluid flows through a curved path, such as a pipe bend, its pressure and velocity undergo changes.
According to Bends Law, as fluid flows through a curved section, the pressure on the outer curve of the bend is higher than the pressure on the inner curve. This pressure difference leads to the development of a centripetal force that pushes the fluid towards the inner curve.
