Reoviruses are widely distributed in nature, infecting various animal species including humans.
Reovirus infections can affect multiple systems in the body, causing a range of symptoms. The most common manifestation of reovirus infection is gastroenteritis, characterized by diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and fever. Prevention of reovirus infections involves good hygiene practices, such as regular handwashing and proper food handling, as well as maintaining a healthy immune system through vaccination and a balanced diet.
